Kitchen Counter

Illustration created for a promotional cookbook for Northern Ohio Illustrators Society (NOIS). The recipe attached to this illustration was for fried chicken. I used some photo reference for the utensils, but most elements were drawn from visualization. The illustration started out as a rough mechanical sketch, then it was scanned and drawn in Illustrator. Details and textures were added in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. The ivy and plant vines are both pattern brushes created in Illustrator from original vector art. The color palette creates a cozy atmosphere with a little touch of contrast.
