Sci-Fi UI Bonus #1 - Mr DNA

As Jurassic Park is one of my favourite childhood movies, I thought I would create a bonus illustration, Mr DNA. This anthropomorphic DNA helix was created by the animator Bob Kurtz to represent the novels thorough explanation of dinosaur creation in a small amount of screen time. The Brontosaurus that appears at the end is a tribute to Gertie the Dinosaur, which was one of the first keyframe animations from 1915. This 10 minute animation is the first to feature a dinosaur and as this was a new technique at the time, every cell was redrawn over of a period 6 months.
