Logotype
Hey!
I've just realized that being passionate of 80s can bring sometimes some design challenges ahead! My friend asked me to create a branding and sign for his newly organized Museum of Motorization and Technology in Piastow, in the close nearby of Warsaw, Poland.
A mission was to build a sign that could be easily recognized by local citizens and people that remember the 80s quite well. I've dug through most popular polish signs, drew some more or less related variations... and I think we finally nailed it.
The logotype is based on a sign that was painted on all of the polish ambulance cars at that time... and what's more the museum is located just in the workshop building, where those cars were parked and repaired for years. The logo fulfills the guidelines and connects a sign with the place.
I've attached some concepts that we passed through before we found the one that actually works and meets our expectations.
