Timelapse 01 • Creating tables

Slightly different shot today as we’re diving into some Sketch nitty-gritty : our way to create and maintain tables.

We use Launchpad by Anima, specifically the Stack feature, to *stack* 😏 every row on top of each other. That means that when we duplicate or move one of them, everything is kept in place.

Where it gets really interesting is that every row is also a stack, following this architecture : - “_paddingtop” layer - Content group - “_paddingbottom” layer The padding layers are only here to create the margins between the borders and the content in every row.

This essentially means that we reproduce how it would work with real world CSS : the height of the row will organically be determined by the content it houses + the padding.

Let me know if this kind of post is interesting, maybe I could record a wider screencast with the Sketch layer panel and everything ?
