Internal Job Management Tool for a "Big Bank"

The Challenge:
The legal team in the Financial Services division of a "Big Bank" needed a way to better track the requests that came to them on a daily basis. They wanted to work in an agile fashion, grooming, sizing and tracking work. They explored out of the box solutions, but felt each lacked in key areas. They needed something that was unique to the way legal teams worked and still followed the agile framework.

The Solution:
We designed a tool that allowed our partners in legal to create and edit tasks. We gave them the ability to define impact to the business and complexity of the request. We also created tags so that related tasks can be grouped together and pulled up again in audits. We designed a document upload and storage component to the application for findings as well as historical references. One of the most key elements to Looking Glass was a workflow element that allows key stakeholders and other customers to log in and engage the team within the tool, cutting down on emails and speeding up the time to complete tasks.

Impact:
The team can see which tasks are past due, due in the current or next sprint, something they didn’t have clear visibility into before. They now are able to better estimate work which leads to "Big Bank" products and services entering the public arena much faster than before. Looking Glass has been adopted by every Legal team across the "Big Bank" and versions of it are in the hands of our business partners so they can better manage their work.
