Spicy Thai - Quick Fire Briefbox Brief

My submission for the fourth @Briefbox quick-fire brief, Spicy Thai Kitchen. This branding concept avoids any obvious imagery such as chopsticks or Asian calligraphy, and instead combines the red, white and blues of the national flag of Thailand with a marbled logo mark to symbolise the mixing of ingredients and firey flavours used to create a modern Thai dish.

Doing a couple of these briefs now has made me realise that I default straight to typography-based designs whenever I do branding, so hopefully I'll muster up enough confidence to try and sketch out a more illustrative icon element freehand for the next one.
