Fitbit Charge 2 Celebrations

Tiny screen, big mission! 🎉 Celebrations are a huge part of the Fitbit experience, and we set out to make it show despite limited hardware. While it was a challenge to create organic bitmap animations in black and white (no grayscale/anti-aliasing), de-emphasizing the borders of the display while using very few assets, it was immensely rewarding to see the kind of delightful moments we could create for our users. Here is some of the work I did with my design partner for the Fitbit Charge 2. We couldn't have done it without the deep AE lessons from two amazing motion designers at Fitbit. Hats off to our amazing firmware devs for helping us make this real!
