FPS HUD Design (1)

Last November, I applied for a UI Designer position at a game studio. I've never worked at a game studio but I was active in the Electronic Game Developers Society back at UT and did lots of art for game jams. For the interview process, I had to do a test in the Unreal Engine, so I had to learn that and I designed these HUD elements to pad out my portfolio with game stuff. I made it pretty far into the interview process, making it all the way to the last two candidates. Actual experience in the industry of course beat me out, but it was a fun and interesting time.

I may give the game industry another shot in the future. I want to get some independent learning under my belt first though.
