I’ve come to really love using my xbox one for entertainment. More so than apple tv. I have solid games, streaming services, and now even soundcloud…but it’s still missing my favorite entertainment service. Spotify.
This is my concept for it, which I made in a few hours. Only a few screens but really wanted to focus on the navigation. I haven’t found any apps that have done a great job of utilizing the buttons on the xbox controller for quick navigation. YouTube is the closest in terms of intuitiveness. It took me quite a few uses to realize there was a legend on the bottom right with button controls.
I wanted to place the button tips in context with where the actual navigation item is so that eventually it would become muscle memory. I think this solves the discoverability issue and makes it accessible to all forms of users - from novice to extreme gamer.
Let me know what you guys think and give it an L if you like it ❤️
