This Day In History - June 5 , 1977

The Apple II computer goes on sale. Personal Note: I remember that my elementary school had a "computer lab" with a bunch of these lined up on desks. Two kids at a time could use one, and the only thing I remember doing on it is playing "Oregon Trail." Now, the class periods were never long enough to actually GET TO Oregon, but that didn't keep me from alway fording the river, putting my whole crew on starvation rations, and hunting the buffalo to near-extinction. I never made it to Oregon, and I nearly always died of dysentery. Anyone else remember this green screen masterpiece?
