Escheresque Tessellation

Hey back at it again with another piece! I'm on a roll. This time I wanted to post something a little more trippy for you guys! This piece was actually part of my math internal investigation at school and I basically chose to recreate M.C Escher a prominent graphic designer in the 20th century using mathematics.

I had a lot of little problems with this piece due to the fact that I had to learn more about hyperbolic geometry, tessellations, and matrices. Who knew matrices would come in handy with art. I'm not going to get into the math detail because who would want to read this. But I will say, I'm pleased with how the end-product turned out.

This piece was inspired by M.C Escher's Circle Limit Series.
