City Repair: Logo (~2009)

My first logo job was for a nonprofit I was heavily involved with when I was living in Portland, OR.

The organization is City Repair and they facilitate community organizing and grassroots activism around the idea of placemaking and public space reclamation using permaculture, natural building, and public art.

One of their central visions is the idea restoring the village heart to the urban grid. I used this sentiment for the inspiration of the logo.

Also featured are three little placemakers, as I was very fond of doing those little illustrations back then.
