Lonely Landing

During the invasion of Europe in order to defeat the Germen occupiers, an American parachutist get caught on the spire of the church in the small French village called ‘Sainte Mère Église’. His name was John Steele, and he hung there for two hours, pretending to be dead. Unfortunately he get captured, but he managed to escape and rejoined his division.

I really recommend to visit this village to become aware of the history of our freedom!
