Silvia Rivera was a transgender activist drag queen, a founding member of the Gay Liberation Front and co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries.

I took the opportunity inktober presented to also begin learning more about our queer history in the United States, celebrating known and unknown heroes, and pointing out people who have opposed queer liberation one way or another.
