I'm curious... What do you all think is happening in this scene? Does it read clearly? (I know the drawings rough, sorry)

Context: Its very late at night. The boy just broke the hooded man's basement window while sneaking a peek at his strange inventions. The man angrily chases him out into the yard, grabbing his arm. The inventor starts scolding the boy then looks up sheepishly to see this woman standing there.
