Ocean illustration

I created this ocean-themed illustration for an album cover for our friends at Kirtan Raga. They play and sing in the tradition of Kirtan – a Hindu devotional practice of chanting and meditating in a group.

The album's centered around the concept of longing, a profound desire to return to the spiritual practice and experience unity with the divine entity. This sensation is often described as uncontrollable, overwhelming and awe-inspiring, just like a giant wave in the ocean.
