The Dailyshow Logo

I had the great pleasure of designing this logo over at Troika Design Group. Hey, somebody had to do it :-)
We had the task of re-branding The Dailyshow, this time around, hosted by Trevor Noah.

After a lot of logo versions, we derived on something that used the good-old reliable Gotham font. Thankfully, the client (at Comedy Central) felt that font was overused. So eventually, we hunted down Akzidenz Grotesk Pro, and it looked great.

In this design, the host, Trevor Noah's name is in a"forced" italic. I did this so that the "H"in Noah would line up perfectly with the "W" in Show. It's a simple detail but one that binds the show title and the name of the host to create a perfect image rather that words stacked on top of one another.
