Shih-Tzu band logo sketch process

My wife is taking in an internet scavenger hunt. One of the challenges was to create album artwork for a fictitious metal band that your pet is in. So I created a Metal album for a bank for my dog Ben. I started by creating the logo for the band “Shih-Tzu”. Here is the sketch process for the primary logo.
