For centuries, the potato has played a fundamental part in the Dutch diet. However with the ongoing surge of dieting trends, the Netherlands has experienced a significant decline in potato consumption. The vegetable has taken a back seat in the culinary world for being perceived as unhealthy, and well, plain boring.
Aardappels.nl is a collaborative effort by N.A.O and Food Cabinet to remind consumers that potatoes can be hearty, versatile and exciting to cook with. The platform allows users to explore hundreds of interesting potato recipes and get familiar with many little known facts about the potato.
We worked closely with Food Cabinet to redesign and develop the website, putting an emphasis on the way that users find a potato recipe that suits their needs and sharing bite-size, fun facts in a beautiful and easy-to-use interface.
