Liquid Type study

this is actually a snippet from a side project I did for a group of students' thesis.

Animated paths of shape layers as always, the highlights where a separate layer of paths with strokes and "trim paths" property. I think I also used 3d stroke to get the tapered look. Made it look like a 12fps animation using "posterize time" effect aplied to an adjustment layer
Oh and the splashes were made in particular.
It's supposed to be water btw..does it even look like water?
