Problem Statement

Bookurve's website needs a visual refresh for better user experience. The design lacks appeal, the footer is cluttered, and there are inconsistencies in category icons. Improving category organization and adding a feedback option would enhance navigation and gather user input for future improvements.

The Process

User Research

Our UX design process focused on understanding users through surveys and testing, gaining insights to shape our designs. This user-centred approach ensured our final product exceeded expectations, delivering a satisfying experience.

‏Competitive Analysis

We studied similar apps closely to understand what works and what doesn't.This helped us spot trends, find opportunities for innovation, and make smart design decisions. As a result, our product stands out and meets user needs effectively.

Feature Prioritizations

✔️ Offer more details upfront, like discount, and availability

✔️ Implement filters by genre, sub genre, and other relevant criteria

✔️ Refine categories and add visual cues for easier and intuitive navigation

✔️ Introduce features like"Wishlists" and “Feedback”

Buyer Personas

Understanding our target users is essential for a successful redesign. By analyzing user personas, we uncover valuable insights into user interactions and challenges. This case study presents two personas, Aidil and Noor and Alif, who represent different user groups of Bookurve.

Their needs and frustrations will inform our redesign, ensuring it addresses a wider audience.

Style Guide

Color Palette

For the Bookurve redesign, I selected a vibrant color scheme featuring blue and orange.

Blue conveys trust and reliability, making it an excellent choice for establishing a dependable brand presence.

Orange adds a touch of energy and enthusiasm, making the design more engaging and inviting.

Together, these colors create an attractive and dynamic visual experience that appeals to users and enhances the overall aesthetic of the website.

Typography

Low-Fidelity Wireframes

Wireframes are essential visual guides in design, prioritising structure and user-centricity. They enable cost-efficient iterations for intuitive user experiences.

High- Fidelity Screens
