Keykey — Piano cheatsheet app

Keykey is a mobile app to help piano learners and novice musicians find the right keys on a piano or keyboard. When placed above the keys, the app guides the player by highlighting keys in an unobtrusive yet clear way.

Select a scale and Keykey will highlight it, or have it find scales with a certain set of notes. The display can be scrolled and zoomed to visually fit the instrument.

Keykey is a UI concept that I designed in October 2022, inspired by the Light Guide feature found on Native Instruments keyboards. The name stems from the word "key" meaning both "piano key", "musical scale" and "solution".
