Can a simple shape become a unique brand element?

I did my best to prove it in my recent brand and web design project for a mobile ad agency AppAd. Much emphasis was put on logo elements. Seemingly simple shapes, but how easily they increase brand awareness when paired with an accent color.

Soon I will show the website design for this agency, it also vividly conveys the whole idea of branding.
