Key Takeaways
Jakob's law, and Fitt's law along with the law of common region has been put in practice in this design. Common icons have been used with large CTAs close to the bottom of the screen. Concepts such as alignments, the rule of 8, boolean groups and applying effects were my key takeaways from this design.
Reasoning
The reason for designing the seek bar to be semi circular is that a semi circle has a longer circumference (approximately 1.57 times) as compared to a straight line fit in the same width (the diameter). Thus, seeking becomes more precise, especially for tracks of longer durations.
