Talk CDL: The Trucker Show podcast graphic design

My clients wanted design collateral for their trucker podcast including a logo to be used as a favicon and on banners/headers for digital assets and promotion. They requested to have a semi-truck with gradient shading and stylized smoke as well as a vintage microphone included in the design.

I designed the logo in Adobe Illustrator to their specifications and created a designed that harkened back to vintage badge logo designs and old radio station logos. Since it was a trucking podcast, I changed the usual star shape to a tire tread, where the dots then created the allusion of a hubcap. The vector retro mic in the badge was used for the favicon. The banners were created in Photoshop keeping with the hodgepodge themes of vintage radio meets trucker. The title and slogan are subtracted from a rust colored foreground superimposed over tire-tread tracks in a nostalgic typeface and layout.
