Ever noticed how hard it is to create quality web content? Now imagine you don’t have access to a computer, English isn’t your first language, or you don’t have the budget to pay a professional web designer. 

That’s where Gides comes in… Gides is building a universally-accessible internet experience that anyone on earth can now create and share website-quality content from their phone, no matter who they are or where they live. And Newstream has been helping design along the way.

Creating the ‘Brand’ for gides was a treat. It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to design the next successful app that everyone in the world is using. To keep the concept pure we literally translated the social information directly into the logo icon. Continuing with the shapes found in the logo, we embraced the lines and ‘dots’ similar to the ‘i’ letter form to symbolize check points along the guided path. Much inspiration was taken from Massimo Vignelli’s NYC subway Maps, but we’ve pushed the concept to no limits with grids, colors, or shapes. Each gide is unique.
