💻Rentazon is a unique platform that allows users to rent items from each other. After creating an account, users can set up their own store and list items for rent. Potential renters can select an item, choose a rental period, and pay the rental fee. The rental request is then sent to the item owner, who can choose to accept or decline it. If accepted, the renter and owner can communicate to arrange the pickup of the item.

🔸This project posed a significant challenge due to the short timeframe and the fact that it was previously designed and developed by another team. The existing design did not align with the user stories and flows, necessitating a complete overhaul.

📃The redesign process began with a thorough review of all project documents and the creation of a FigJam file to organize essential data.

🎥Meetings with the project owners were held to understand their vision and clarify the flow of the application.

🔍Research was conducted on similar websites, including studying their flows and user documentation. Feedback was also gathered from users of these sites to gain insights into their experiences and the processes they followed to rent an item.

📍The FigJam file was then updated to outline the Information Architecture (IA) and detail the pages. Given that some pages had already been designed and developed, the existing system (color palette and layers) was adhered to.

🖌A component-based design approach was adopted, complete with a color palette and styles, to facilitate easier development. Despite the challenges, the project was successfully redesigned to provide a seamless and intuitive user experience.
