Dark mode in the Superpedestrian app
Superpedestrian is a transportation robotics company based in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. As of November 2023, it runs an e-scooter sharing program
in about 60 cities across the US and Europe.
During my time working with a Superpedestrian product team, I explored the implementation of a Dark mode to the customer app.
This layout is not only intended to maintain a stylish appearance or stay consistent with system themes but also to enhance rider safety. Many riders use the app after sunset, and a bright screen can be blinding and cause issues on the road.
