Design exploration: website for NFT MOBA game

Kitsumon is an NFT game and a virtual world with two main aspects, multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBA) and professions.

About the game

The game is played with Kitsu, adorable pets that you can collect, care for, and breed to generate new Hybrid Kitsu combinations. 

Playing in MOBA mode means you can clash with other players in a multiplayer online battlefield arena for land acquisitions. On the other hand, you can take on professions such as farming, fishing, or crafting and get rewards. 

Furthermore, there’s a standalone Kitsumon NFT marketplace where players and traders can maximize their sale opportunities by utilizing KMC tokens.

About project

We designed the Kitsumon website for the game and its virtual world. The colorful art style of the game influenced our design language. We crafted a simple, easy-to-use layout and followed the UX principles to ensure the site’s legibility while keeping it visually appealing.

We found it challenging to present a colorful and fun world of Kitsumon, while keeping the usability. We coordinated the main colors on the website with numerous other shades that represented various traits and abilities of adorable Kitsu pets. This also inspired a playful, but simple typography, and the result is a colorful, lively website that makes you ready to dive into the exciting world of Kitsumon!
