🏠 | Digital Nomad Living App

Project Description 💬

  • Goal - Improve user-orientation of design  - The first thing I did was look into what a digital nomad would actually want to see on a page like this. They have slightly different priorities to a normal home buyers, and I wanted to reflect this in the UI. I gathered all the important info and laid it out in a hierarchy that they'd find most informative by showing all the info they need to see: Images, map, no. beds, no. baths, size, max occupants, property type, rent length, furnished level AND my new "popular features" are all now seen within a single scroll!

  • Goal - Improve Conversion  - This was the biggest opportunity I spotted initially. The more a user reads about a property, the more (or less) they will want to pull the trigger, and because we can't be sure when that will be due to users having such a variety of priorities, I added a sticky menu with a clear CTA that means a user could enquire at any moment without any friction!

  • Goal - Improve the UI consistency - Consistency is key when it comes to brand and UI. For this design, I started with a more consistent use of the beautiful green from your logo. They were already using this with their tags, but I made them "pop" a little more with the clear border.

  • Goal - Add a menu - During some user testing I conducted for a proptech company I used to work with, we uncovered the importance of quick access to certain functions for users. Most users need the functions of: saving, sharing and querying within reach at any moment. To account for this, I added another fixed element, the  "+" button floating on the screen which, if pressed, uses a nice animation to reveal all the options they need to save, share, compare, etc!
