Meet Yakoon, head of the design concierge...

Yakoon is a hybrid creature that is a cross between a yak, mandrill baboon, dragon and wild boar–amongst its other mixed-species pals (to be revealed in time). Their journey will be published in the near future and I’m excited to be writing and illustrating it. 

Why a beast? Well, with much inspiration for the beasts on our fascinating planet, monstrous movies from the likes of Tim Burton, Guillermo del Toro, J.K. Rowling, Pixar Studios, and books such as “Where the Wild Things Are”, I wanted to create a brand that was truly “me”. 

Plus, I’m a huge fan of mascots. I encourage having something physical that represents your brand and can connect socially with the audience. It’s another tool in branding that instills imagery in our noggins and is easy to remember and also refer! And wouldn’t you want your mascot on a t-shirt?
