Magazine cover illustration

We were approached by Glug Magazine, a specialized wine publication from the United Kingdom, to collaborate on a cover illustration for their Mendoza edition. For each number, they seek out illustrators from the region the magazine will be themed about 😊.

As locals, we faced the challenge of resignifying our compromised viewpoint. The way around was to take inspiration from the particulars of the winemaking in Mendoza and from the undeniable appeal of nature: like the magnificent mountains, the Malbec vineyards, the ever-sunny sky, and the poplars that are so charming yet so ubiquitous to us 🌄🍇🌞🌳.

Our final result is a visual document of the artistry of local wine producers in its surroundings, and a homage to nature becoming both the figure and the background of the illustration.
