The National WWII Museum, Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center

The National WWII Museum, Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center. 945 Magazine Street. New Orleans, Louisiana. Built in 2013.

The National WWII Museum began as "The National D-Day Museum" in June of 2000, and has since expanded its plans to include six buildings over three square blocks.

New Orleans may seem like a odd host to this national museum, but the city was instrumental in the design, building and testing of the famous Higgins Boats that were so vital to the success of D-Day among many other contributions.
