Building an offsite wind farm often impacts by changing the coastal skyline when looking out to sea. However, many stakeholders may not appreciate potiential impacts in and around the seabed of a potential site. I was asked to create a visual to show the breadth of aquatic biodiversity of speculative sites.

SOLUTION

Photo montage with grid-matrix overlay

I designed a few different grid formations to test the optimal number of pics for inclusion. The landscape proportions best showcased a configuration of either 6 (columns) x 4 (rows) or 6 x 5 for the imagery selected. A photo montage with a grid-matrix overlay proved to be an ideal way to showcase the diversity of marine life by location–giving a snapshot appreciation and avoiding a protracted slideshow.
