CITTÀ Magazine — La Gran Tenochtitlan

CITTÀ is a creative magazine that parallels Montreal with other cities throughout the world on subjects such as art, architecture, design and creativity at large. 

For their Montreal/Mexico edition, they gave me an incredible task: to craft a series of posters capturing Mexico City's vibrant history, at three different periods of time—during the Aztecs (Tenochtitlan), the Spanish conquistadors (Nova Mexico) and nowadays (Distrito Federal).

Here's the first one, spotlighting the ancient world of Tenochtitlan. Finding the right approach for this was tough. But once that puzzle piece fit, it was all excitement and passion from there.
