As the designer behind the Dabanol Bangla Font, I am excited to share the captivating process of transforming strokes in Adobe Illustrator into a fully-fledged font that carries the essence of Bangla script. In this account, I'll guide you through the meticulous steps and inspirations that led to the creation of the Dabanol font.
Inspiration and Research: Every font has a story, and for Dabanol, that story began with the rich heritage of Bangla script. I immersed myself in the nuances of the language, its history, and cultural significance. Exploring traditional calligraphy, historic manuscripts, and modern typography trends allowed me to grasp the essence I wanted to infuse into Dabanol.
Conceptualization and Sketching: Conceptualization is the foundation of any font design. Armed with insights from my research, I began sketching out preliminary ideas on paper. The objective was to create a font that honored the roots of Bangla script while adding a contemporary twist. The sketches were rough and abstract, capturing the essence before diving into digital tools.
Adobe Illustrator: Bringing Ideas to Life: Translating sketches into digital form is where Adobe Illustrator came into play.
