Sottosti(g)ma

"Sottosti(g)ma" is an Information Design project born with the objective of raising public awareness about mental health issues and psychological distress.

The title Sottosti(g)ma formed by combining the Italian words sottostima (underestimate) and stigma, is particularly meaningful since, despite significant advancements in recent years regarding the public discourse on mental health, the issue ofpsychological distress remains underrated, and mental health is still not always accorded the same importance as physical health. Moreover, individuals who experience psychological distress often feel intimidated and judged due to social stigmas.
