TastyChef provides clear and concise instructions on how to cook a variety of dishes, from beginner to advanced levels. It also has a large collection of recipes covering a wide range of cuisines.

The Problem

Many people don't know how to cook, or they only know a few basic recipes. A website for learning how to cook can provide them with the knowledge they need to cook a variety of dishes.

The Goal

•To provide users with the knowledge and skills they need to cook a variety of dishes.

•To help users feel more confident in their cooking abilities.

Research — Understanding the user

I conducted user research to understand the needs and pain points of people who are learning how to cook. I interviewed 10 people who had varying levels of cooking experience, and I also collected feedback from online forums and social media groups. I also conducted a competitive analysis of existing learning how to cook websites. This analysis helped me to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these websites, and it also gave me ideas for new features that could be incorporated into my own website.

Moving from paper to digital wireframes made it easy to understand how the redesign could help address user pain points and improve the user experience. Prioritizing useful button locations and visual element placement on the home page was a key part of my strategy.

• Designs that are clear, concise, and easy to follow will help users learn how to cook more easily and confidently.

• Designs that are visually appealing and engaging will make users more likely to stick with the website and learn how to cook new dishes.

What I learned:

• The website has a lot of potential. It has a wide variety of recipes, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

• The website could be improved by making it more user-friendly. The navigation could be simplified, and the content could be better organized.
