MANTO - Character Design & Logotype
ABOUT THE PROJECT
MANTO is a set of software tools that provides stable and reliable infrastructure to many different applications built on the Tezos blockchain. The name was inspired by the Greek seer MANTO, daughter of Tiresias, who could foretell the future and provide counsel to those in need. She represents the helping hand, the act of giving, and a general sense of direction.
Because MANTO is a crucial part of the branding, we created the character design before the logotype. Her stand-tall, assuring figure, gentle gestures, and serene smile blended with colors used in ancient Greece were the elements that carried her sense of calmness and direction.
A sense of continuity between MANTO’s character and the logotype was important for the overall branding, so we incorporated elements of her character, such as the extending hand, the Greek letter μ, and her robe. The colors used for the character design are also present in the logo, creating different variations for different tools.
