Exploring human modeling in Blender

Embarking on my first human modeling project in Blender was an exciting adventure. Bringing Sveta Shubina's 2D illustration to life in 3D required careful attention to the character's anatomy. I devoted considerable time to honing the details, and though challenging, it was a valuable learning experience. The hair was a particularly enjoyable aspect to work on, even though it demanded patience due to its intricacy. This process breathed life into the character, making the project truly fulfilling.

Crafting unique accessories with style

Delving into material design for the character's leather and gold jewelry was a delightful journey. I sought to create textures and patterns that added uniqueness to the accessories, inspired by the original illustration.

To evoke the boudoir ambiance depicted in the illustration, I carefully observed the lighting techniques employed by Sveta Shubina. While I couldn't mimic it exactly, I adapted the lighting in Blender to create an enchanting atmosphere. This journey led me to participate in the "do this in your style" challenge, where I confidently expressed my unique vision through a personal compositing.

To conclude ...

This 3D modeling adventure has been a rewarding experience. Working on a woman's anatomy, hair, and accessories taught me invaluable lessons. The challenge of creating in my style, rather than imitating exactly, was liberating. It allowed me to embrace my artistic expression and connect with the art on a personal level. As I move forward, I am excited to continue exploring new possibilities and honing my skills, guided by the inspiring journey of creating in my own style.
