The CTA train system is crucial to Chicago's urban life, serving the city and 35 suburbs while making up 81% of public transit trips. However, it grapples with challenges like violence and social insensitivity. To address this, "It Hurts" is a design solution that improves communication, resolves conflicts, and enhances inclusivity, safety, and the overall rider experience. This behavioral campaign acknowledges the disparity between the ideal vision and the current reality of public transportation in Chicago. Its goal is to tackle social issues during train rides without relying solely on law enforcement.
