Beauregard-Keyes House

Beauregard-Keyes House. 1113 Chartres Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. Built in 1826.

The Beauregard-Keyes House boasts many prominent residents including its namesakes Confederate General P.G.T. (Pierre Gustave Toutant) Beauregard, who famously ordered the first shots of the Civil War and Frances Parkinson Keyes, an author of over fifty books a century later.

The house now serves as a museum, restored to its original Victorian Style, featuring items from noted residents.
