FluidOz Hydration Wizard Concept

I did some preliminary work for a hydration device company. It's essentially a built-in straw to help action-sport athletes stay hydrated while performing. Think racecar drivers drinking through their helmet/racesuit. But they're also looking to turn into an app that can measure hydration levels and track them over time, alongside the athlete's performance. This could potentially expand the company into the health and wellness space. We needed to come up with a fresh, modern logo that can account for both the products current state, and its potential future. My contract only lasted a few weeks so I'm not exactly sure what happened with the final project, but I decided to finish it off on my own. I had sketched out this cool water droplet shaped F. I changed the name to FluidOz—fluid for hydration, Oz like the wizard. There's also a double entendre there, in that fluid is typically measured in ounces, abbreviated ".oz". I've put a few color iterations of the final mark and typeface below.
