The Ghosts of Yoshioka

The concept behind this artwork was to show the turmoil Musashi faces after he slays and defeats his opponents. More specifically after he defeats the Yoshioka school and defeats all 70 of the yoshiokas, while he is residing in a small village he feels like someone is watching him and he constantly feels a burden over him, I wanted to capture that very feeling of burden in this drawing. I included all the major yoshioka students and head in this, them being Ueda ryohei, Toji, Denshichiro and Seijuro, them being in a kind of zombie state closing in on a helpless Musashi trying to grab a hold of his sword. This whole drawing was inspired by a very good sequence from the "Farming" arc of the Manga. I of course wanted to capture the feel of the manga and hence did not colour this drawing.
