Use Case

As a medical professional, it is difficult to navigate alternative intravenous medications which aren't compatible to be administered simultaneously.

Pain Points

  • No in-app support which allows for efficient navigation and selection for alternatives.

  • No awareness of incompatible medications until the time of administration.

  • There is no way of identifying which medications are approved by the overseeing medical professional and/or the patients medical coverage of choice (if applicable)

User triggered the "Find Alternatives" CTA which then provides them access to a list medications which would be suitable replacements. The search feature is intended to make navigation easier, only displaying if more than 5 options are available on screen.

After the user selects the appropriate medication (in this example, Cephalexin), they will be met with an alert which informs them that it will modify the overall schedule.

After confirming the new medication, it replaces that of the previous selection and allows the medical professional to start the application soon after.

What happens if additional modifications or a reversion is needed to the selection?

Three proposed options are available to further assist the user on each row if an error is made or a change is necessary.
