Bosworth Brewing Company

A concept design for a beer company’s imperial stout style brew. The specific ingredient that is prominent in this stout brew is chocolate. The goal of the label was to make the design appealing, intriguing, and tell a story. With my love for learning and reading history, I discovered and researched a man named Coenraad van Houten.

When chocolate first came on the scene in Europe, it was a luxury only the rich could enjoy. But in 1828, Dutch chemist Coenraad van Houten discovered a new way to treat cacao beans. Van Houten unlocked and unleashed chocolate to the masses. Anyone who loves chocolate owes a huge debt of gratitude to him, as his invention powered the modern production of creamy, solid chocolate as we know it today.

The idea of Van Houten unleashing his innovative concoction to the world sparked a variety of fun design elements and powerful visuals for the label.
