H2O on the Go!

Project conception

The H2O on the GO app can help solve a real problem for cyclists, especially on long rides where access to water can be crucial. With the app, cyclists could easily stay hydrated and healthy by locating public water fountains in Berlin and the surrounding areas and plan their routes accordingly.

Identify the target market:

Who are the target users? We focus on cyclists and would like to expand the user base to include other outdoor enthusiasts, such as hikers and runners. Knowing the target audience will help tailor the app features and marketing strategy accordingly.

Research existing water fountain locations:

Start by identifying public water fountains in the areas where we want to launch the app. We will check with the local municipality or government office responsible for maintaining public spaces.

Develop a user-friendly interface:

The app's interface will be easy to use and navigate, even while cycling. Avoid a cluttered interface with too many options or features, keep the language simple and design the UI for one-handed use. We are keeping important buttons and options within easy reach of the user's thumb.

Incorporate user-generated content:

Encourage users to upload photos, reviews, and ratings of water fountains. This content will help other users identify water fountains that are clean, well-maintained, and have good-tasting water.

Test the app with beta users:

Before launching H2O on the GO to the public, we test it with a small group of beta users. This beta testing will help identify any bugs or issues with the app before it goes live.

Launch and promote the app:

Once we have developed it, we will enable it to reach our target audience. We market the app through social media, blogs, and online forums while partnering with local businesses and organizations to promote H2Oon the GO.

Ensure accuracy and up-to-date information:

It will be necessary to regularly update the app with new water fountain locations and remove any unused ones. This info will ensure users can rely on the app to find the necessary water fountains.

Incorporating additional features:

In addition to locating water fountains, we will consider adding other features that would be helpful to outdoor enthusiasts, such as bike repair stations, public restrooms, and nearby parks or trails.

Continuously gather user feedback:

We collect and incorporate user feedback into future updates once the app is launched. This info will help ensure the app remains relevant and valuable to its target audience. We can also conduct online research or crowdsourcing to identify existing water fountains.

Expanding to other cities:

If the app proves successful in Berlin, we will expand it to other cities and regions where outdoor enthusiasts may benefit from its features. This expansion will help grow the user base and increase the app's overall impact.

Overall, H2O on the GO has the potential to be a useful and popular app for cyclists in Berlin and beyond. With careful planning and execution, it could improve the cycling experience for many riders. That sounds like a great idea!

What do you think?
