Magazine Layout - YOMOGI .01 (Cover)

A camp & outdoor magazine spread design, titled "Yomogi".

Featuring mock articles made by me, with stock photos from Pexels.

Thoughts:

I aimed to style the cover after Japanese outdoor magazine designs by maintaining a simple, clean look with a trending neutral pistachio green color. I enjoyed working with the thick title font, Cubano. However, during my creation process I found the article title placements to be a challenge, as well as what additional information to include.

I will likely look into adding article "quotes" and look forward to doing further design research for the next pretend volume!
