RenderFolk x Best.Case - The Cave Residence

The Cave Residence was a visual design exercise to build a believable Cave based dwelling that was well suited to Best.Case’s innovative and highly modular product, the scaffold storage system. It was our intention to keep a lot of the raw stone feel within the space but with occasional polished walls in order to ensure the space wasn’t too rugged and felt comfortable.

Some of our key inspirations for the space came from large scaffolds that are often found in deep mines around the world. In addition, the layering of Marble quarries and the methodical removal of large slabs.

We wanted to use this project to really dramatize the sense of scale that could be achieved with the Scaffold system and show how it could be used to make extremely large areas highly versatile.
