Career Page for Solar Energy Company

PCWO Career is a sub-brand of PCWO Energy, a company specializing in constructing photovoltaic farms and investing in renewable energy sources. PCWO Energy Praca is an additional brand that promotes career opportunities in the renewable energy industry.

The main brand leases land from farmers on mutually beneficial terms for constructing photovoltaic farms. The company has completed numerous photovoltaic projects and is rapidly expanding. To promote careers in photovoltaics among students and young people, PCWO Energy created the sub-brand PCWO Career.

The Problem

The current version of the page disregards user experience. The solutions are confusing, the navigation is unclear, and users can easily become lost on the page. Additionally, the page fails to provide essential information about the company, such as its culture, expected earnings, and potential benefits of working there. The page does not even encourage users to explore the offer or submit personal data and a CV that may contain sensitive information.

Solution

Goals:

• Implementation of a modern and clear job portal for internal job postings.

• Internal candidate/employee profile for recruitment applications

• Delivery of job offers and update alerts

• Presentation of corporate and office culture, and work benefits.

Success Metrics:

• Simplification of the application process for a position.

• Increase in application conversion rate for a single position.

• Encouragement of the applicant through presentation of company culture and benefits.

Research

I conducted interviews with people actively looking for work, the locations of these people were varied - from Krakow, Warsaw to Wroclaw. The goal of these people was the same - to find a job in the profession they have qualifications for. There were various observations about the internal job portals in large companies, the respondents indicated solutions that they liked as well as solutions that frustrated them and even caused a reluctance to apply for any position in the company. The respondents unanimously stated that they wanted to get to know the culture of the organization, they expected information about possible earnings even before submitting an application and the simplicity of submitting an application.

In order to fully understand how the page works, I put myself in the shoes of a user wanting to get a bit more information about a future employer.

This allowed me to draw conclusions and find the best solution, while also encountering the limitations and frustrations and worries that applicants face.

Improvements for recruiters.

Analysis of candidates and their competencies for a given position. Creation of an application management system, current job offers and the ability to manage meetings from one cockpit.

Tracking application status.

The next improvement is the introduction of solutions that allow future employees to verify the status of their application, information about the recruitment process and any planned meetings or information about the meeting such as whether the meeting will take place remotely or on-site at the company's HQ
